Package Shipping  UPS
  Package Shipping (UPS) is service is perfect for small to moderate sized shipments.  But for larger shipments, the only practical means to deliver the order is palletize the order and ship by a trucking (motor freight) company.
   Virtually all orders under 150lbs will be shipped by UPS, and at same time orders between 150 lbs and 2000 lbs may be shipped via UPS or LTL, depending upon the needs and location of the customer, and size, weight, shape and complexity of the order.

Please note that United Parcel Service (UPS) cannot deliver a package to a PO Box. If you are choosing a UPS shipping method, please be sure to enter a physical street address. Orders being shipped to a military APO or FPO box must be shipped via the United States Postal Service (USPS) and cannot be shipped via UPS.

* Most items on the site will ship between 2-3 business days.

* Shipping usually only takes 6-9 days to arrive in any of the 48 States within the Continental US.

* As with most things our products have a "busy season". During the months of April through September, you may experience slight delays. Rest assured though these delays are strictly seasonal and as with all parts of the year, we will work our very best to provide you with consistent, timely service!

Returns and Exchanges for items shipped UPS
You may return any item purchased on our Web site, for any reason within 15 days of receipt.  Pending inspection, a refund will be issued to you for the value of the item including taxes less 15% restocking fee.  Shipping fees, being the amount that ABC Backyard Basics pays to ship the item to you, are non-refundable.  Returns must be requested within 15 days of receipt of merchandise. All merchandise must be returned in original factory condition, including all packaging materials, inserts, hardware packs and manuals. Open box items will be inspected and are subject to a restocking fee if items are found damaged or parts missing.  All orders cancelled after shipment has been made will be subject to round trip shipping and handling charges.

Important: Please note - shipping fees are currently built into the price and are non-refundable.  They will therefore be deducted from the refund amount.

Furniture Collection Return/Exchange Policy (please read carefully)
At ABC Backyard Basics, we take great pride in the quality and craftsmanship of the furniture we sell.  Attention to detail in design, materials, and construction is always our priority.  Sometimes, however, merchandise may be damaged while in route to its final destination.  In the event that damage occurs in transit, or if you discover any defect in manufacture, please contact us via email at contact us link at www.ABCbackyardbasics.com within 7 days, and RETAIN ALL ORIGINAL PACKAGING.  We will either pay for the item to be repaired, or pay for it to be returned to us and will ship you a replacement at no extra cost.  Upon return, your merchandise will be inspected.  If you do NOT wish to have the item replaced and instead wish for a refund and in other certain circumstances, a usage or restocking fee will apply.  We take the hassle off of your hands and will handle all correspondence with UPS and arrange for product replacement and return shipping through UPS.  If original packaging is discarded before UPS inspects it, or damaged items are shipped back to the factory by the customer without authorization by us, the replacement claim that The Indoor Outdoor Store made with UPS will be null and void. This will result in a denied damage claim with UPS and replacement or refund will not be issued.


For Standard Motor Freight Deliveries
Many items such as Barn kits,Gazebo kits, Pergolas,Playset kits and some Furniture groups, and heavy fountains must ship motor freight or Common carriers (Shipments delivered by Semi-Trailer Truck or similar type vehicle and offloaded by Purchaser), a complete description of how the freight is delivered and what will be required by the purchaser is listed below:

Shipments will be delivered to or as close to the Purchasers property line and or Driveway provided the location is deemed assessable by the delivering carrier. It is the Purchasers responsibility to inform Backyard Basics at time of purchase of any unusual or difficult location or delivery issues, so necessary arrangements may be made with the delivering carrier, where possible. Purchasers may incur additional shipping costs depending on the Purchasers specific situation.

The delivering freight carrier is not obligated to assist the Purchaser with unloading of freight.

Purchaser will be expected to cut metal strapping securing product to the pallet and therefore will require the use of wire cutters.

It is strongly recommended that the Purchaser have at least 2 assistants to help offload freight from truck.

Purchasers should be aware that although total freight could be over 2000 lbs, units will be offloaded one piece at a time, with individual pieces and components ranging between 1- 100lbs that should be manageable in most situations.

Purchaser will be given a reasonable time frame to unload freight from the delivering freight carrier vehicle ranging between 15-30 minutes.

For Premium Plus Motor Freight Deliveries
  (Shipments Delivered by Semi-Trailer Truck and or similar type vehicle and offloaded by Delivering Carrier and carried to a specified location on your property)

Purchasers who choose our Premium Plus Delivery method to have their freight unloaded must call a Backyard Basics Customer Service Rep. to confirm that this method is available in your geographic location. There is an additional cost for this service and this charge will be added to your order at time of purchase. Purchaser will not be required to pay any additional costs to Delivering Carrier for this service at time of delivery unless there are deviations from pre-arranged shipping methods.

Purchaser agrees to accept all financial responsibility for demurrage and rerouting costs if the ship-to location is changed after the product is shipped from our premises.

Shipment method/procedure must be confirmed at time of order. Purchaser should be aware that all freight is prepaid and that no additional freight charges should be paid to delivering carrier unless Purchasers alters or changes any prior arrangements. Any deviations to prearranged shipping methods will result in additional costs being billed to the Purchaser. In most cases the delivering carrier will bill the purchaser directly for any additional charges. However, in certain situations where it may not be possible or realistic for the delivering carrier to do so, then Cedarshed will re-invoice or bill your account for any additional freight charges which have been incurred.

Backyard Basics strongly recommends that Purchasers contact our Delivering Carriers local terminal to make delivery appointment after Backyard Basics informs Purchaser that freight has been shipped from our premises. Backyard Basics will provide the Purchaser with both tracking and contact numbers for your convenience.

Purchaser must inspect freight prior to unloading and document any damage on the Shipping Document "BILL OF LADING" provided by the delivering carrier. Failure to document any such damage may result in delays in resolving any possible freight damage claims.
